Billboard top 100 // As slow as possible
"As Slow as Possible" is a composition by John Cage that was written in 1985 for piano and later adapted for pipe organ in 1987. Incredibly vague in nature, the only instructions for the piece outside of the notes listed, are to perform the changes as slowly as possible with no specific tempo indicated. There is currently a performance of the piece occurring at St. Burchardi church in Halberstadt, Germany. The piece began on September 5th, 2001 and is scheduled to continue for 639 years until it's end in 2640.
On the right is a list I compiled of every date that the note has changed since the beginning of the piece, paired with the Billboard top 100 hit on that same day.
